Vicki has been with us for over 28 years. She has a background in accounting and an Associate Degree in Business. Vicki won Best of Breed at Westminster (Breeder/Owner/Handler) with her Mastiff (Bud) in 2009 and had the #1 Owner-Handled Mastiff in the country (Jasper) in 2014. She currently has a Mastiff named Brewtis and a French Bulldog named Chase.

Chelsea, CVT

Chelsea is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1996 and came to work with us in 1997. She’s originally from Massachusetts and is a huge Red Sox fan! She has four fantastic cats Otis, Bean, Sprout and Junior!


Ashley has been with our office since 2000. Ashley shares her home with two cats named Ichabod and Greta, a Dachshund named Marshall, two Dumbo Rats named Lloyd and Harry and a tortoise named Hank. Ashley completed the EMT program and is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. She has a son named Connor.


Nancy has been in our front office since February 2003. Nancy and her husband, Bryan live in a RV in Palmetto and love the tiny home feel. They also enjoy spending time outside gardening, fishing and hanging out with friends. Their pets include a crazy but precious Jack Russell Terrier named Libby and a rescued awesome Rat Terrier named Flash.

Michaela, CVT

Michaela joined our staff after moving to Florida from New York in 2005. She attended Adirondack Community College and SUNY-Canton where she received her certification as a Veterinary Technician. Michaela shares her home with her boyfriend Garrett, a wacky, but sweet, Catahoula mix, Tessie and an adorable Boxer mix, Penelope.

Stacy, CVT

Stacy began working at DeSoto Animal Clinic when she was in high school. She continued with us during college and worked as an assistant after graduating from Mars Hill University with a BS in Zoology. She decided to further pursue veterinary medicine and moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. Upon graduating she took a position at an animal hospital there and worked for 7 years before returning to the Bradenton area to be closer to her family.  In her free time, Stacy enjoys kickboxing and spending time with friends and family.

Jill, CVT

Jill has been working in the veterinary field since 1998. She received her degree from St. Petersburg College in 2004 and joined DeSoto Animal Clinic in 2012. She and her husband have 3 children and 2 cats, Hoagie and Slider. When not at work, Jill enjoys hiking and road trips.


Zoey joined our practice in May 2019 and is currently attending St. Petersburg College for Veterinary Nursing. She shared her home with a cat, Eva the Diva. Zoey is originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida in 2004. Her favorite football team is the Chicago Bears and she’s a huge fan of scary movies!

Sarah, CVT

Sarah joined our staff in 2020 after moving to Bradenton (closer to the beach!) from Birmingham, AL with her husband, Mark. She graduated from Jefferson Community College with her degree in Veterinary Technology. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2018. Sarah and her husband have a mixed breed dog named Kaya and a Boston Terrier named Joey.


Brianna began working with us in the summer of 2020. Originally from Connecticut, she attended the University of Rhode Island where she studied Marine Affairs and Biology. She has since worked part-time in various aquariums, teaching the public about marine conservation. She has joined our team to further pursue veterinary medicine, and eventually work with rehabilitating exotic animals. Outside of work, she loves to stay active and take her dog, Blue, on walks around her new home here in Florida.

Danielle, CVT

Danielle joined our team in the fall of 2020. She is a graduate of St Petersburg College with an Associate in Arts degree and an Associate in Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She is a lifelong Manatee County resident and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. Her greatest passion is for Pit Bulls and their mixes, but loves all animals and breeds. She now enjoys a handsome son named Memphis who loves animals just as much. Danielle also has seven lovely pets, three dogs and three cats. She is proudly supported by a wonderful husband and family and they continue to be her cornerstone in this career. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys listening to old country music while boating, fishing, or doing anything outdoors with her family, friends and her bully mixes.


Jessie is the daughter of our Certified Veterinary Technician, Jill. She has been working at the clinic since December 2020. Jessie is currently enrolled at Manatee High School and is on the cross country track team. She shares her home with two lovely cats named Hoagie and Slider.


Alex has been volunteering with the clinic for over a year, and has finally took the plunge to join our staff. This is his first job. Alex graduated from high school in 2021. Alex is deciding on what his future will hold, but his interests are in Biochemistry Engineering or Veterinary Medicine. Alex is hoping his experience in working at our practice will be a great stepping stone for his future career. Alex has 4 pets a pekingese named J.J., 2 chihuahuas named Sushi Roll and Wisp, and a sassy tortie cat named Joy.


Destiny is one of our veterinary assistants, she has been with our practice since October of 2021. Destiny was born and raised in Florida and has recently graduated from High School. Destiny wants to attend school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. She loves to travel, play volleyball and watch sunsets. Her favorite animals are dogs and she shares her home with two of them,  a red nose and a blue nose pitbull, named Ranger and Elvis.


Annalynne is one of our youngest staff members, she is crossed trained and works as both a veterinary assistant and as a receptionist. She is a junior in high school and is full of school spirit. GO CANES! She has lived in Florida her whole life but loves to travel. She lives at home with her parents a little brother and four great dogs.


Ella is a senior at Bradenton Christian. She has plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, go to the beach, and spend time with friends and family. She lives with a Berne-Doodle named Wyatt.


Stephanie is a new member to the DeSoto Animal Clinic family however she has been part of the BVE team since November 2017. Stephanie loves spending time with her husband, James, and the dogs. She was involved with Southeastern Guide Dogs puppy raising. She currently lives with the perfect golden retriever named Cooper a teeny Chihuahua named Linda and a couple of crazy cats. Stephanie started in veterinary medicine at the age of 18 where she cross-trained in reception as well. From there she went to Southeastern Guide Dogs where she worked in the puppy kennel and took care of neonates as well as the pregnant mothers. Stephanie loves visiting Savannah, Ga and would love to make that an annual trip! European travel is a life goal.


Allison is a has been with the clinic since May 2022. She  is born and raised in Florida and is a Senior at Parrish Community High School. In her free time, she enjoys cooking. Allison is one of five siblings and has a dog named Stella.


Autumn is one of our cross-trained employees meaning she is skilled as a receptionist and as an assistant. She is a recent graduate from Manatee High School. She has two cat fur-babies named Buddha and Hades. She is a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady who has always been inspired to become a veterinarian ever since she was little.


Miriam is one of our newer veterinary assistants. She is originally from New York. Miriam us currently studying at SCF for a degree in business. She shares her home with three little chihuahua’s named Benji, Stanley and Choochie.


Jaedyn is another one of our new receptionists. Jaedyn is originally from Indiana. In the spring she graduated from SCF with a Associates Degree. She has two pets, a Leopard Gecko named Leonardo and a Shar Pei/ Retriever Mix named Gracie. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and painting.


Nuvia is one of our newest receptionists. She is a recent graduate from Manatee High School. She has a cat named Sylvester and two dogs, Zeus and Heidi. She is born an raised in Bradenton and is a die-hard Buc’s Fan! GO BUCS!!!


Amanda was born in Cuba but raised in Sarasota. She is a recent graduate from Sarasota High School and is curently enrolled at St. Petersburg College into the Veterinary Technician Program. Amanda has a sweet french bulldog named Chanel.


Kaitlyn is a new addition to our front office staff. She is a native Floridian. She is currently attending the State College of Florida for an A.A. degree in Science and in Paralegal studies. Kaitlyn and her family own 6 chickens, 2 geese, a banana ball python named Lana Banana, a cat named Sissy and a German Shepard named Fritz. In her spare time Kaitlyn enjoys drawing and is quite a talented artist.


Maya is native to Manatee County, a rarity these days. She graduated from Palmetto High School. While in school she was involved in 4H and the FFA showing cattle and swine. Maya has a basset hound mix named Bailey.
