Vicki has been with us for over 28 years. She has a background in accounting and an Associate Degree in Business. Vicki won Best of Breed at Westminster (Breeder/Owner/Handler) with her Mastiff (Bud) in 2009 and had the #1 Owner-Handled Mastiff in the country (Jasper) in 2014. She currently has a Mastiff named Brewtis and a French Bulldog named Chase.

Chelsea, CVT

Chelsea is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She graduated from St. Petersburg Junior College in 1996 and came to work with us in 1997. She’s originally from Massachusetts and is a huge Red Sox fan! She has three cats, Mazie, Otis and Junior!


Ashley has been with our office since 2000. Ashley shares her home with two cats, Ichabod and Greta; a German Shepherd, Rambo; a Dachshund, Marshall; a hedgehog named Hedginald and a tortoise, Hank. Ashley completed the EMT program and is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. She has a son named Connor.


Nancy has been in our front office since February 2003. Nancy and her husband, Bryan live in a RV in Palmetto and love the tiny home feel. They also enjoy spending time outside gardening, fishing and hanging out with friends. Their pets include a crazy but precious Jack Russell Terrier named Libby and a rescued awesome Rat Terrier named Flash.

Michaela, CVT

Michaela joined our staff after moving to Florida from New York in 2005. She attended Adirondack Community College and SUNY-Canton where she received her certification as a Veterinary Technician. Michaela shares her home with her boyfriend Garrett, a wacky, but sweet, Catahoula mix, Tessie and an adorable Boxer mix, Penelope.

Stacy, CVT

Stacy began working at DeSoto Animal Clinic when she was in high school. She continued with us during college and worked as an assistant after graduating from Mars Hill University with a BS in Zoology. She decided to further pursue veterinary medicine and moved to Denver, Colorado to attend Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. Upon graduating she took a position at an animal hospital there and worked for 7 years before returning to the Bradenton area to be closer to her family.  In her free time, Stacy enjoys kickboxing and spending time with friends and family.

Jill, CVT

Jill has been working in the veterinary field since 1998. She received her degree from St. Petersburg College in 2004 and joined DeSoto Animal Clinic in 2012. She and her husband have 3 children and 2 cats, Hoagie and Slider. When not at work, Jill enjoys hiking and road trips.


Lis has been a member of our veterinary assistant staff since March of 2014. She is from Lima, Peru and moved to Florida in 2006. Lis has two children, Nathan and Reagan. They share their home with a Siberian Husky named Marshall, a three-legged rescued chihuahua named Minie Waffle, and a rescued cat named Sweet Potato. Lis is also one of our bilingual staff members who speaks English and Spanish.


Crystal joined our practice in 2017 and is dual trained as an assistant and receptionist. Crystal was born and raised in Bradenton, and both of her parents are from Mexico. She shares her home with her husband, 5 children, a little Aussie mix named Ivy, and a Chihuahua named Milo. Crystal and her husband Danny also own a landscape company that serves Manatee and Sarasota Counties. Crystal is also one of our bilingual staff members who speaks English and Spanish.


Zoey joined our practice in May 2019 and is currently attending St. Petersburg College for Veterinary Nursing. She shared her home with a cat, Eva the Diva. Zoey is originally from New Jersey and moved to Florida in 2004. Her favorite football team is the Chicago Bears and she’s a huge fan of scary movies!

Sarah, CVT

Sarah joined our staff in 2020 after moving to Bradenton (closer to the beach!) from Birmingham, AL with her husband, Mark. She graduated from Jefferson Community College with her degree in Veterinary Technology. She became a Licensed Veterinary Technician in 2018. Sarah and her husband have a mixed breed dog named Kaya.


Brianna began working with us in the summer of 2020. Originally from Connecticut, she attended the University of Rhode Island where she studied Marine Affairs and Biology. She has since worked part-time in various aquariums, teaching the public about marine conservation. She has joined our team to further pursue veterinary medicine, and eventually work with rehabilitating exotic animals. Outside of work, she loves to stay active and take her dog, Blue, on walks around her new home here in Florida.

Danielle, CVT

Danielle joined our team in the fall of 2020. She is a graduate of St Petersburg College with an Associate in Arts degree and an Associate in Science degree in Veterinary Technology. She is a lifelong Manatee County resident and is a Certified Veterinary Technician. Her greatest passion is for Pit Bulls and their mixes, but loves all animals and breeds. She now enjoys a handsome son named Memphis who loves animals just as much. Danielle also has seven lovely pets, three dogs and four cats. She is proudly supported by a wonderful husband and family and they continue to be her cornerstone in this career. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys listening to old country music while boating, fishing, or doing anything outdoors with her family, friends and her bully mixes.


Jessie is the daughter of our Certified Veterinary Technician, Jill. She has been working at the clinic since December 2020. Jessie is currently enrolled at Manatee High School and is on the cross country track team. She shares her home with two lovely cats named Hoagie and Slider.


Alex has been volunteering with the clinic for over a year, and has finally took the plunge to join our staff. This is his first job. Alex graduated from high school in 2021. Alex is deciding on what his future will hold, but his interests are in Biochemistry Engineering or Veterinary Medicine. Alex is hoping his experience in working at our practice will be a great stepping stone for his future career. Alex has 3 pets a pekingese named J.J., a chihuahua named Sushi Roll, and a sassy tortie cat named Joy.


Aliyah is the niece of Crystal, one of our other staff members. She joined our reception team in April of 2021. Aliyah is one of our staff members who is bilingual. Aliyah recently graduated from high school and plans to enroll in the dental program at SCF. Aliyah shares her home with a cute mini schnauzer named Rocky and an adorable cat named Simba.


Destiny is one of our veterinary assistants she has been with our practice since October of 2021. She recently graduated from High School. Destiny shares her home with four lovable dogs.


Annalynne is one of our youngest staff members and in the fall she will be a junior in high school. She lives at home with her parents and 4 great dogs. Annalynne’s future plans are to attend cosmetology school to become an esthetician.


Hannah is one of our newer assistants, she is from Illinois, and has lived here a little over a year. She says, “This is a whole new experience, I love animals and I’m loving every second working with them.” She enjoys spending time with friends and going to the beach.


Ella will be a senior at Bradenton Christian in the fall. She has plans to pursue a career in veterinary medicine. In her free time she likes to play volleyball, go to the beach, and spend time with friends and family. She lives with a Berne-Doodle named Wyatt.


Stephanie is a new member to the DeSoto Animal Clinic family however she has been part of the BVE team since November 2017. Stephanie loves spending time with her husband, James, and the dogs. She was involved with Southeastern Guide Dogs puppy raising. She currently lives with the perfect golden retriever named Cooper a teeny Chihuahua named Linda and a couple of crazy cats. Stephanie started in veterinary medicine at the age of 18 where she cross-trained in reception as well. From there she went to Southeastern Guide Dogs where she worked in the puppy kennel and took care of neonates as well as the pregnant mothers. Stephanie loves visiting Savannah, Ga and would love to make that an annual trip! European travel is a life goal.

Autumn is new to our receptionist staff. She is a recent graduate from Manatee High School. She has two cat fur-babies named Buddha and Hades. She is a self-proclaimed crazy cat lady who has always been inspired to become a veterinarian ever since she was little.


Lina joined our practice in August 2022 as a front office receptionist. Her plans include attending S.C.F. next January for business administration. Her dream is to one day own a beauty shop for hair, make up and nail care.
