Vicki, Administration

Vicki has been part of our team for 30 years. She holds a degree in accounting and an Associate Degree in Business. Currently, Vicki handles various administrative tasks within the practice. In 2009, she won Best of Breed at Westminster (Breeder/Owner/Handler) with her Mastiff named Bud, and in 2014, she had the #1 Owner-Handled Mastiff in the nation, Jasper. At present, she has a French Bulldog called Chase.


Chelsea, Certified Veterinary Technician

Chelsea is a Certified Veterinary Technician. She completed her studies at St. Petersburg Junior College in 1996 and joined our team in 1997. Hailing from Massachusetts, she is an ardent supporter of the Red Sox! Chelsea shares her home with four wonderful cats: Otis, Bean, Sprout, and Junior!


Ashley, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Ashley has been part of our office since the year 2000. She lives with a cat named Greta and a Dachshund named Marshall.. Additionally, she has a Bearded Dragon named Boba. Ashley has successfully completed the EMT program and is recognized as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. She is also a mother to a son named Connor.


Nancy, Administration

Since February 2003, Nancy has been a part of our office, where she currently handles administrative tasks at the clinic. Nancy and her husband, Bryan, reside in an RV in Palmetto, embracing the charm of tiny living. They take pleasure in outdoor activities such as gardening, fishing, and socializing with friends. Their household includes two beloved pets: a spirited yet adorable Jack Russell Terrier named Libby and an amazing rescued Rat Terrier called Flash.


Michaela, Certified Veterinary Technician

Michaela became part of our team after relocating to Florida from New York in 2005. She studied at Adirondack Community College and SUNY-Canton, earning her certification as a Veterinary Technician. Michaela lives with her boyfriend Garrett, their quirky yet lovable Catahoula mix named Tessie, and a charming Boxer mix called Penelope.


Stacy, Certified Veterinary Technician

Stacy started her journey at DeSoto Animal Clinic while still in high school. She remained with us throughout her college years and took on the role of an assistant after earning her BS in Zoology from Mars Hill University. With a passion for veterinary medicine, she relocated to Denver, Colorado, to enroll at the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology. After graduating, she secured a position at a local animal hospital, where she dedicated 7 years of her career before returning to the Bradenton area to be nearer to her family. Stacy is the proud owner of a delightful mixed breed dog named Vinny. In her leisure time, she loves kickboxing and cherishing moments with her friends and family.


Jill, Certified Veterinary Technician

Jill has been involved in the veterinary profession since 1998. She earned her degree from St. Petersburg College in 2004 and became a part of DeSoto Animal Clinic in 2012. Along with her husband, she is a parent to 3 children and has 2 cats named Slider and Toast Malone, affectionately called “Toasty”. Outside of her professional life, Jill loves hiking, attending rock concerts, and taking road trips


Jessie, Veterinary Assistant

Jessie is the daughter of Jill, our Certified Veterinary Technician. She has been part of our support team at the clinic since December 2020. After graduating from Manatee High School, Jessie started her studies at SCF. She lives with her two adorable cats, Slider and Toast Malone. Jessie loves going to concerts with her family.


Alex, Veterinary Assistant

Alex began his journey by volunteering at the clinic and then took the bold step to become part of our team. Marking us as his first ever job. He completed high school in 2021. Currently, Alex is contemplating his future, with interests leaning towards Biochemistry Engineering or Veterinary Medicine. He hopes that his time spent working at our practice will serve as a valuable foundation for his career ahead. Alex is a proud owner of two chihuahuas, Ruby Su and Wisp, along with a golden retriever named MarieBelle. In his spare time, Alex enjoys 3D printing and crafting intricate costumes for various events.


Annalynne, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Annalynne grew up in the Bradenton/Sarasota region. She has been part of our team for more than four years and is cross-trained, allowing her to handle both reception and assistant roles. Currently, she is pursuing a degree in Elementary Education. An athletic individual, Annalynne loves swimming and weightlifting, and in recent years, she has developed a strong passion for running, with the goal of competing in marathons. Annalynne is a youthful and ambitious individual, yet she carries the wisdom of an old soul.


Jaedyn, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Jaedyn joined our team in 2022. She is cross-trained, which allows her to serve as both a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. Originally hailing from Indiana, Jaedyn graduated from SCF in the spring of 2022 with an Associate’s Degree. She has a dog, a Chihuahua named Jamie. In her free time, she loves to read and she cherishes moments with her family and friends. Jaedyn is a remarkably talented artist, her paintings are truly exceptional.


Carrie, Veterinary Assistant/Receptionist

Carrie has a rich history of working at DeSoto Animal Clinic for several years, serving as both a receptionist and a veterinary assistant. While she may not hold a certification as a technician, her experience at Bradenton Veterinary Emergency has equipped her with numerous technical skills. Carrie lives with her boyfriend Jerod and three beloved dogs: Ron, a retired K9 officer; and two chihuahua mixes, the cuddly Tamatha June Anne and the adorable Penne. Outside of work, Carrie loves to spend quality time with her family and friends, and you can often find her enjoying activities like boating, fishing, or any outdoor adventure.


Kimi, Veterinary Assistant

Kimi is one of our dedicated assistants, boasting over a decade of experience working with animals. She is a proud mother of two sons; one resides in Houston while the other lives nearby in St. Petersburg. Additionally, she has a lovely granddaughter. Kimi relocated to Florida from Texas just before Thanksgiving in 2022. She is thoroughly enjoying the stunning scenery and the proximity to the water in Bradenton. Kimi shares her home with her two beloved dogs, who are her heart and soul: a little Chiweenie named Eevee and a Miniature Pinscher named Kiddo.


Ashley, Veterinary Assistant

Ashley serves as one of our wonderful veterinary assistants. She is a true local, hailing from Manatee County. She has aspirations to become a Certified Veterinary Technician (C.V.T.). Her love for animal care ignited in her childhood, as she nurtured a variety of pets including turtles, hamsters, dogs, and rabbits. Presently, she is the proud owner of a long-haired Chihuahua named Nova, who holds a special place in her heart, akin to that of a child. In her leisure time, Ashley enjoys painting, drawing, and spending quality time with her boyfriend


Gabi, Veterinary Assistant

As one of our veterinary assistants, Gabi is currently enrolled at SPC, aiming to become a Veterinary Technician. Her lifelong passion for animals shines through in her work. Gabi lives with her two children, a Dalmatian named Jupiter, and a rescued German Short-haired Pointer rescue named Chance, who both keep her quite occupied. Outside of work and school, Gabi enjoys leisurely walks at Robinson Preserve and kayaking in the scenic canals of Anna Maria Island.


Sam, Veterinary Receptionist

Since 2024, Sam has been a member of our reception staff, coming from Connecticut. She is currently working towards her associate’s degree at SCF. As a loving dog-mom to Nala and Rocket, and a cat-mom to Bo, Koda, and Kiggy, she has a lot of furry friends. In her spare time, she enjoys video gaming, reading, and going to concerts.


Erik, Veterinary Assistant

Erik is a kennel assistant and is in the 10th grade at a nearby high school. His mother, Jill, is one of our certified veterinary technicians, and his sister, Jessie, is another kennel assistant. He has two cats at home and enjoys staying fit by regularly visiting the gym. In his leisure time, he loves to watch movies and has a great passion for music.


Gabriella, Veterinary Assistant

As a veterinary assistant, Gabriella is part of our team and comes from Newark, Delaware. She cherishes moments with her cats Gizmo, Binx, Lilac, and her dogs named Choco, Raven, Luna Belle and Meadow May. Her love for the medical field has been a lifelong passion, and she always knew she wanted to work with animals. When she’s not at work, she indulges in digital art, painting, and crafting.


Monica, Veterinary Assistant

Monica is one of the latest additions to our veterinary assistant team, she is a Florida native. She has always been passionate about animals. Her current aspirations involve gaining more veterinary experience to help her decide whether to pursue becoming a C.V.T. or a Veterinarian. When she’s not working, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, her Chihuahua-Pomeranian mix named Roxy, and her friends. She loves watching movies, television, playing video games, going to concerts, and traveling.

Stacey, Veterinary Receptionist

As a receptionist, Stacey is an integral part of our team. She hails from Missouri but moved to Florida with her family in 2019. With three dogs, she has a lively household. Stacey and her family are avid supporters of Supercross and NFL football—Go Chiefs!

Kerri, Certified Veterinary Technician

In December 2022, Kerrie graduated from Harcum College in Pennsylvania. She started her professional journey at the University of Pennsylvania, serving as an overnight Certified Veterinary Technician for in-patients on weekends. She then moved to the Orlando area, where she worked as a C.V.T. at a VCA hospital in Apopka. Currently, she owns a new Black Lab named Fern and her family has two other dogs; Finnegan, a Great Dane, and Wicket, a Cane Corso.

Riley, Veterinary Receptionist

As one of our front office receptionists, Riley is a dedicated nursing student who has a strong passion for caring for others and dreams of becoming a pediatric nurse someday. Her deep affection for both children and animals drives her commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. In her free time, Riley enjoys outdoor activities like fishing, boating, and camping, along with relaxing with a good book. Riley has recently rescued a sweet Golden Retriever named Buck.

Isabel, Veterinary Assistant

Isabel, a genuine native of Manatee County, began her journey in Palmetto, Florida, but her ambitions lie in exploring the world. She has visited remarkable places such as London, England, Paris France, Madrid Spain, and the nations of Paraguay and Mexico. Presently, she is pursuing a degree in business administration with a pre-vet focus at The University of Florida—Go Gators! She is also the proud owner of a lovely Siamese cat named Winnie. Right now, one of her indulgences is reading a book titled Travels With Charlie, written by John Steinbeck. Isabel brings a youthful flare to the clinic!

NyYuanui, Veterinary Receptionist

We’re excited to welcome NyYuanui as the newest member of our receptionist team! Hailing from Indianapolis, Indiana, she brings a vibrant energy to our group. Balancing a busy home life with two children and an energetic German Shepherd, NyYuanui still finds time to indulge in her newfound love for documentary movies during her leisure hours. We’re thrilled to have her with us!
